In this game you're moving around a maze, with either the WASD or arrow keys, collecting raindrops.   Each level has a different layout as well as a different amount of raindrops to collect.  Also, if you run into the enemies,  it's Game Over.  There's also a level select area.

Note: In addition to being able to play in the browser,   I exported this game for both Windows and Mac.  I'm not sure, though, how well it'll work on Mac.  If anybody downloads that version and it doesn't work, let me know.

Update: In finding out there was an error with the web browser version of my game being played in Chrome, I went and changed a couple things (changed it from GESL3 to GESL2 and added a forgotten piece of the file) and reuploaded the html. In doing that, it now runs in Firefox as well as Edge and hopefully Chrome.

Bug: When I pushed the character in a corner It started levitating and can’t eat the waters. Curiously, I pushed it more and I am levitating out of the maze.

And, there should be a home button.

Hi GS game Studio,

Thank you for letting me know about the bug.  Is this something that happened on a particular level?  Also, in regards to the home button, I'm guessing you mean a main menu button?  If so, I can definately add that.

It happens at every level if you try. But a particular wall inside level 12 made me notice. Try adding gravity to avoid similar issues.

Alrighty, so I went and added a fix to the levels.  Things should be ok now, but if you do run into any other bugs let me know.  Oh and I added a Main Menu button on the Game Over screens.

Thanks

You're very welcome.

Loved it =D been a while since I have played one of your games but good to be back! As usual, keep up the great work!!! =P

Hey again!! So here is your video about Icy Maze, such a fun game, I really liked the entire puzzles inside the game, I have some points like usual to mention them here below, and in the video I had more to say about your game and my experience with real live thoughts are being captured there if you want to take a look ;)

  • The idea is really great; I can see that this game is so much better than the other one I played from your games.
  • In level 2 (You will see in the video) I noticed that the character or the box we are using, we can move it as we like but for the distance travelled and even if I just pressed the buttons so slightly (just a small tiny tap) we can’t control how low or short we can move the box... check the minimum distance a box can cover when moving.
  • I didn’t know that the enemies (Red boxes) can go through the walls of the maze! That is unfair L lol it is a very cool feature in the game and I like that you made variation in their movements and even speed.
  • In every level there is a straight line visible only from one side. That line is in the middle of the maze from up to down! It does not affect the gameplay or anything (I can send you screenshots if you want to see)

At the end of the video I gave you some ideas to prove the game, hope this kind of feedbacks is going to help you in the future.

Hey Danielle, i tried your game. Here is some feedback.

In many levels there is lot of empty space without any threat from enemies. You could increase number of enemies or make them cover bigger area to make it more challenging.
I think it would make sense if pressing retry would restart level that you were playing instead of going to main menu. Also adding some sound effects would be nice :)

Hi yrbiax,

Thank you for trying my game and the feedback.  In regards to the enemies, thank you for letting me know you'd like the game to be more challenging.  It wouldn't be a problem to have them cover more ground or add more.  As far as the game going to the main menu when retry is hit, I can understand why you say that.  I can change that.  As far as sound effects,  I'm not totally sure how to do that but there is a tutorial on how to add sound and music I can look at to see how.

Alrighty,

I went and updated my game with some sound effects, made it so that the level restarts when you hit retry and adjusted and/or added to the enemies.
